Mini Leagues are weekly competitive matches designed specifically for children School Year: Yr2 – Yr8. Participants will be grouped according to their age profiles and will have the opportunity to experience what it is like to play on match days. Mini League is for players to gain more matchday playing minutes, regardless of your child is currently playing in a structured team or have the aspirations to be in one. This is a games programme to develop their skills in a safe, supportive and structured environment.

The main goal of the Mini Leagues is to give young players a genuine matchday experience as a player and build their confidence with playing minutes. It’s about developing their understanding of competitive games in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. Coaches will focus on enhancing the players’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship, all while ensuring they enjoy the challenges and demands of football.

The Mini Leagues matches are held once a week, during afterschool hours over a 7 month commitment (September – March). Each weekly game is carefully scheduled to ensure regular participation, playing a variety of positions and offers young players a lot of opportunities to develop their skills and relish in the excitement of a match-day environment.

Mini Leagues is a commitment of 7 months (September – March). All sessions are calculated and split across 3x payments (Sep, Nov and Jan). You will be able to cancel anytime by contacting the HYA Team. Cancelling your place means you have to re-register, where availability is subject to our waiting list. The 1st payment includes HYA Matchday Kit (shirt, shorts and socks) ensuring a sense of belonging and pride in their team.

Enrolment in the Mini Leagues is simple. Parents can register their child by signing up on our website or by contacting us directly for assistance. Once registered, we will guide you through the next steps for your child’s match kit to be prepared. We are excited to welcome new players and ensure a delightful experience for them on and off the pitch.
