FAQs

What are the HYA Holiday Camps?

Our HYA Holiday Camps are designed for Boys and Girls School Years: Reception – Yr9 (5yrs – 14yrs old). Offering a fun and engaging environment where children can enhance their physical motor skills, sport-specific techniques, and competitive spirit. Each day is filled with diverse age-appropriate games, activities, and matches, ensuring an energetic and enjoyable experience for every participant.

What is the daily schedule for the Holiday Camps, and is there an option for early drop-off?

The camp runs daily from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. For added convenience, we offer an early drop-off option between 08:30 am and 10:00 am at an additional rate, allowing parents flexibility in their morning schedules and ensuring a seamless start to the camp day.

What should my child bring on the day?

Your child should bring a healthy packed lunch and snacks, ensuring there are no nuts, eggs, or fish due to allergies. A water bottle is essential for staying hydrated. Please check the weather each morning to provide suitable clothing such as a jumper, coat, raincoat, and sunhat. Sun cream should be applied by your child if necessary. Shin pads and moulded or plastic studded boots (no metal) are required for safety.

How much do the Holiday Camps cost, and are there discounts for full-week / Annual Pass bookings?

The cost for attending a single day at the Holiday Camp is £25. For families opting for a full week (4 or 5 days), we offer a reduced rate of £20 per day, making it £80 for 4 days and £100 for 5 days. Annual Passes are automatically entered into raffle prize giveaways throughout their membership.

My child is in School Year: Reception. Does HYA Camp accommodate for this year group?

Yes, we do. We ask parents of children in the reception year group to contact us directly to discuss half-day trial sessions from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at a cost of £12.50. This approach allows us to assess their readiness before offering a full-day camp experience.

What are the safety guidelines for my child's personal belongings?

Children are responsible for their personal belongings, including phones and money. We ask that phones are used responsibly, and that social media usage is not allowed during camp. HYA is not responsible for any items lost or damaged. Encourage your child to speak with coaches if any issue arises, and staff will contact you if necessary.

What are the pick-up guidelines for HYA Camp?

Please inform us via phone or email if someone other than yourself will be collecting your child. If you would like your child to walk home alone, we require this information in a text or email. We will not allow children to leave without prior notification of these arrangements.
